超瘋狂Colourpop試色+心得分享 Colourpop Swatches and Review: Eyeshadow, Lippie Stix & more

Hello, I’m Catie! Today, I’m going to share with you A LOT of stuff from Colourpop! I have a total of this much There is Colourpops’ eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, lipstick, lipliner, eyeliner, brow liner What else ultra matte liquid lipsticks and ultra satin liquid lipsticks I basically bought every single product of theirs, except for their newly released ultra glossy lip, and the sculpting stix which are supposedly hard to use Other than those, I think bought everything else Then…everything here in these three drawers, I will swatch on my hand for you guys I’ll first show you guys the swatches on my hands, then I’ll talk about my thoughts on the products and some colours I recommend There’ll be a lot products to swatch today, so the swatching part will be a little long If you want to skip straight to the reviews and recommendations, you can jump to this time I’ll put the time down here, which is the start of the review and recommendations If you don’t want to look at the swatches then you can skip straight to here Now, let’s take a look at the swatches! (it dried out ><) (it dried out ><) (these are actually the lippie stix!)

Oh shit (these are actually the lippie stix!) Ok, so I’ve picked out those that I like most here My favourite product are the eyeshadows, so there are a lot eyeshadows, these two rows here are eyeshadows But their eyeshadows are separated into a few different finishes/ textures, which I’ll explain to you guys one by one The first one which I like the most is their metallic shadows, on which it should say ‘metallic’ So, the metallic shadows are very very pigmented, and it’s super shiny I’ll just swatch it for you guys here Look at the shininess of this This is really, it’s really super shiny and the pigmentation is crazy The swatch basically looks exactly like the colour in the pot I think there really is zero colour difference, and, it’s only $5 USD per shadow Only $5 USD per shadow There really is no reason not to buy it The texture is very unique, I’ve never felt an eyeshadow from other brands with such texture It feels a little like the soft playdoh we used to play with when we were younger, like it’s a little moist and softer It’s not like the eyeshadow we usually buy, which is normally a little hard But for this one, when I press down, there’s a little dent Not sure if you guys can see it like this Can you see it? It’s kinda soft, which is very different compared to eyeshadows from other brands Something you need to take note of for this is that you MUST screw the lid back on tightly because it is moist If you don’t close it properly, it will dry out It really will dry out, which will be tragic So you must close it tightly, and don’t depot it If you dig it out and depot it, it will only dry out I’ve seen people remove the metal pan from the white container to depot it Do not do that, if you do, it’ll probably only last a week So every time after you use it, you must close it like this My second favourite texture is how do I say this? Satin finish So it should say ‘satin’ on it It has a very very VERY fine pearly shimmery finish I’ll just swatch it for you guys here Don’t you think this one looks less pigmented? It’s because the colour itself is lighter Similarly, the swatch looks exactly like the colour in the pot I feel like for the satin textured shadows, how do I say this? The colour payoff is very delicate, the texture just looks very nice If you don’t really like this super high-key, vibrant and glittery type, then you should like their satin textured shadows because has a very fine and delicate texture/finish I feel like for this level of pigmentation and colour payoff, really, no one can tell that it’s only $5 USD I really really like the texture of this product This colour I have here is ‘wattles’, which is super gorgeous You can use it as a base shade, crease colour, transition colour or anything and it’ll still look nice It’s a very nice pink-ish shade which is suitable all year round and goes well with all different kinds of looks I think this shade is definitely a must buy Next, a texture/finish that I think is okay is pearlized I think it’s only okay because,

it’s not actually pearlescent, it’s feels like it’s more towards glitter texture I can feel the glitter particles when I’m swatching it, and it feels a little chunky Like this I don’t know if it shows up on screen, but you can see the glitter particles which looks a little chunky It’s actually quite pretty, it’s just that I personally don’t really like shadows where the glitter particles are visible The colour payoff is the same as others, what you see is what you get The pigmentation is amazing This shade is ‘drift’ If you’re looking for a reddish eyeshadow, this shade is suuper pretty It’s really pretty For this shade, if you use it to line across the lash line and create a slight wing at the end, it’s gonna look super pretty This shade is really pretty Colourpop eyeshadows give the best colour payoff when applied with fingers, but say if you want to draw a little wing, then you don’t have a choice but to use a brush I recommend using this type of brush, a flat-ish brush A flat and dense brush like this one gives you a nice and precise wing This is also good for blending So if you like colourpop eyeshadows, you should use a brush like this one Next, I think this texture/finish is very pretty, but sadly, it dries out quite easily, it’s their matte shadows Their matte shadows are very pretty when you swatch it, it has a very natural soft finish I’ll swatch it for you guys here It’s very blendable It feels it has a soft and sandy/creamy texture It’s really really really pretty But, nearly half the matte shadows I bought has dried out I bought a whole bunch of eyeshadows at once, and the other textures were fine, except for the matte ones because most of them dried out for some unknown reason So, I think it’s best not to buy too many matte eyeshadows, just buy the colours that you really really like Don’t buy a whole lot for the sake of trying it out, because it will dry out easily The matte shadows are really nice, but I don’t highly recommend it I have a few more eyeshadow recommendations here, which I’ll share with you guys The first must buy shade is ‘amaze’, which has a metallic finish I cannot think of any other way to describe it except for super pretty It’s really very pretty It’s a perfect colour for the eye socket, it’s an orange-y champagne shade The way I like to use it is, alongside ‘sequin’, which also has a metallic finish I like to use this on the eye socket, and this on the crease But I see a lot of people, because they’re both metallic finish, many feel that this combination is too bright, too shimmery, which makes the eye look a little swollen If you’re afraid that it’s going to look too shimmery, you can use a matte shadow as a base, then pack either one on top of it I used a light and a dark matte shade to create an ombre base, then I added ‘sequin’ in the middle This has a pink-ish undertone You see the slight pink shimmer on my eyelid? It’s this colour Which doesn’t make it look overly shimmery Then, another metallic shade that I really like is… ‘I heart this’ It literally has a heart shape This colour is how do I say this, kind of a grey-ish champagne shade I used it in the inner corners of my eyes today, just a teeny bit You can also pack this onto the middle of the eyelids to highlight, or use it other ways All in all, this is a very pretty shade, also very pigmented Next, also a metallic shade It’s a very versatile dark brown colour This is suitable for the crease, just blend a little after applying This shade is called ‘3’, like the number 3 Next, the shade I used as a base in my socket is this one, it’s a matte shadow It’s called ‘hanky panky’ This shade is very very very suitable as a base colour It’s a soft earthy umber tone, slightly on the warm side Because usually, umber shades are slightly more greyish, thus cool toned, but this is a slightly more warm toned umber shade It’s super pretty and goes well with any colour, it’s just a very versatile base shade And although this has a matte finish, the formula is actually quite moist This is the most moist matte shadow I have out of my whole colourpop collection I’m not sure if every single one is like this, but if you like this shade, you don’t have to worry about it drying out I’ve had this for quite a while, maybe close to a year? But it’s still very moist and the colour payoff is still good, so I really recommend this shade Next, the last eyeshadow has a pearlized finish in the shade ‘mooning’ Their shade names are all really weird This is a…coffee brown with gold shimmers Also a good crease colour Most of the colours I recommend are quite versatile and neutral, like browns and champagnes I don’t usually recommend colours that are too strong

They have a few YouTuber collaboration collections, and you might have seen that I’ve bought 3 of them from the swatches before 2 of which are the Kathleenlights collection, and 1 from imjennim’s They have stopped producing imjennim’s collection, so even if you really like it you can’t buy it, so I’m not going to talk it I prefer these ones from Kathleenlights’s collection, it’s the ‘where the night is’ quad There are 2 quads, one’s called ‘where the light is’, and another called ‘where the night is’ So one’s light and another night, and I prefer the ‘night’ quad Majority of people recommend ‘where the light is’, because the colours in that quad are more usable on a daily basis Although I do think that the colours are more practical, I think that the colour selection for the quad isn’t the best, so I don’t particularly like that quad Although the colours in ‘where the night is’ isn’t as practical, the colours are all super pretty Actually, other than this very golden colour that isn’t very practical, the other colours are all actually quite usable But out of these 4 colours, I actually like this impractical golden shade the most I previously used this in my crease area, kind of like a coloured eyeliner Super pretty Suuper pretty This golden colour is really pretty, and it definitely does not look like a $5 gold eyeshadow It’s just this is really pretty If you’re looking to try a vibrant colour, I highly recommend this shade This is the first time I’m recommending such a bright eyeshadow, but I really love this one The other 3 colours are all quite normal, This is a normal wine red, suitable for fall looks ‘Weenie’ is a very nice pink-ish shade, which can be used as a base colour And this one, which I don’t find it particularly easy to use It has a metallic finish, the shade is called ‘midnight’ It’s a gold-ish black, which isn’t a shade that is often used But I think the colour selection for this quad is really pretty, really super pretty So if you are looking to buy Kathleenlights’s collection, I really really recommend the ‘where the night is’ quad Ok, so my second favourite product of colourpop are the ultra satin lips They have another product called ultra matte lip, which looks the same Don’t buy this This matte one is super scary Super scary It’s probably one of the worst liquid lipsticks I’ve ever used After you apply it, it feels like your lips are shrinking It becomes completely and super matte Nevermind this, because you’d expect a matte lipstick to have a matte finish anyway But this really, it becomes completely dry and adsorb on your lips, it’s like putting liquid white out onto your lips, coloured liquid white out, it feels like that Why do I describe it as liquid white out? And it also cracks Your mouth is constantly moving, like it opens, close, opens close It moves according to your mouth movements, For example when you smile you stretch your lips and relax when it closes, the liquid lipstick will crack, and become patchy and weird cracks Kinda like when dry paint cracks So this one, their Ultra matte lips, I really strongly recommend against buying it, I really really do not like this one If your lips are in good condition , like they’re even, moisturised, and you’re not scared them becoming dry, then you could try it if you want to because there are people who like this product, it’s just that I personally don’t really like this product If you like liquid lipsticks, then I highly recommend colourpop’s ultra satin lips The shade I’m wearing right now is… ‘echo park’ It looks like this It’s not as matte, although it does feel matte after application, and it’s not drying I’ve had it on for quite a while, but it doesn’t feel dry at all It does highlight the creases a little, but it’s nothing serious Because after all it is matte, and matte lip products will somewhat sink into the creases I think that this is an acceptable level If I see a shade which I like in the future, I will still buy it I highly recommend this product Another colourpop product I like is their eyebrow pencil, their auto brow pencil The tip is very thin, and it’s designed in a way that once you screw it out, you can’t screw it back in So you should only screw out the amount you need every time you use it This design is to ensure that the product inside is well stored, it’s not a faulty design or anything When you use it, because it’s very very pigmented, you’ll feel that the lines are very rigid and unnatural But, if you brush your brown with the spoolie after filling it in, comb over it, it’ll look very naturally blended, it kinda mimics the effect of a brow powder, and it’ll look super natural I used this brow pencil, and it doesn’t look rigid or unnatural at all This is the combined effect of the pencil and the spoolie I really recommend their brow pencil, and it’s the same as the eyeshadows, only $5 USD The Taiwanese brand, meh something ca brand,

has the exact same brow pencil The RRP is $290TWD I think? I think it’s $290TWD if I remember correctly They have sales occasionally, but the fixed price is $290TWD Colourpop’s is only $5, $5 USD So no matter how you calculate, colourpop’s is still cheaper Ok, I’ll stop talking shit about that brand or else people will hate me Anyway, this is really good, and compared to ABH’s brow wiz, there isn’t much difference ABH’s brow wiz is $20 USD each I think? Or even pricier. I forgot Anyways, it’s just more expensive The difference in effect is 10 points, but the difference in price is massive So if you are looking to try out an auto brow pencil, I highly recommend this one Next, I also highly recommend their highlighters I like this one called ‘lunch money’, This is a champagne gold colour It has a soft, fine, pearly shimmer, but it has very finely milled shimmer, not glitter, it doesn’t have big chunky glitter particles, but instead fine and powdery shimmers Kinda feels like sand Here is what it looks like Do you see the glow? It’s quite bright I think it’s quite easy to apply it evenly The highlight I’m wearing right now is this one I really like the effect of this highlight If you prefer a whiter highlight, I recommend this shade, it’s called ‘smokes and whistles’ I have mentioned this one previously It’s colour is compared to the previous one Where did it go? Oh here This one is more of a champagne-y colour, but ‘smokes and whistles’ is more on the silver-y whiter side, which brighter than ‘lunch money’ The glitter in ‘smokes and whistles’ is slightly more obvious, so if you don’t like a…strong highlight, I don’t really recommend ‘smokes and whistles’ Next, they also have blushes, I don’t particularly recommend their blushes as much as their other products, because most of their blushes have a matte finish So similar to the eyeshadows, their matte blushes are slightly drier, which makes it kinda hard to blend evenly The blush I’m wearing right now is called… ‘never been kissed’ I think it’s quite suitable for fall and winter? Actually, it suits every season It’s a rosy shade, which pretty much matches most looks But a con about this blush, is that it doesn’t blend easily I spend like half a day blending it out this morning If you don’t mind cream blushes, I mean don’t mind cream blushes that are a little hard to blend, and you see a colour that you like, then you should buy it if you want to But I don’t think I’d repurchase their blushes Next, I have their creme gel eyeliner pencil I don’t really recommend their creme gel pencils either, because when I use it, it kinda bleeds and smudges below But I really like this colour, it’s called ‘boots’ It’s a nice bright peachy shade I wore this in the ‘Product Empties & Would I Repurchase?’ video, where I had a peachy eye look So if you see a colour that you really like, and you really want to buy it, I would recommend wearing it alongside a powder eyeshadow You can line your eyes with this first, and then go over it with an eyeshadow that has a similar colour Use an eyeliner brush like this, carefully and gently go over the line with an eyeshadow So you’re kinda setting the creme gel pencil When I do this, it doesn’t smudge at all It will be fine if you don’t extend it to the inner corner of the eye So if you see a particular colour that you like, I think you should buy it But if you just want to buy a basic colour, then I don’t think you should get it Because you can get those anywhere, it’s not hard to find There are many out there that are both cheap and does not smudge easily Next, I have their lippie pencils I also highly recommend their lippie pencils Their lip liners are very very smooth, it just glides sooo smoothly Same as before, if you see a colour you like, you should buy it The pigmentation and the creaminess is just awesome But, something I don’t like about these lippie pencils, is that you have to sharpen it, it’s not the auto type At first I thought that you can turn it, so I just kept turning and turning it I was like why isn’t it coming out?! Then I realised that you have to sharpen it I minused some points for this But because it’s just so smooth and pigmented, and the price is only $5 USD as well, I will repurchase in the future if I see colours I like Yup, that’s… Oh I still have the lippie stix As for the lippie stix, I recommend these 4 They are ‘I heart this’, ‘Poppin’, They recently came out with a new finish called Matte x, it’s super matte This is really really matte Like this There’s no sheen or glossiness at all I think their Matte x lippie stix are not bad, it looks really really nice on the lips If you spot a colour you like, buy it Next, for their usual formulas, I prefer the ones with the matte finish I have 3 of my favs here which are all have a matte finish I quite like their matte lippie stix Same as before, if you see a colour you like you should buy it Ok, so that’s all for today, which was a lot So, that was my throat hurting Colourpop product reviews, recommends and swatches,

hope y’all enjoyed it I used all colourpop products for my eye makeup today, I’ll insert a mini tutorial later on I hope you enjoyed my video today, don’t forget to subscribe! Bye bye! Oh right, I forgot to mention this, some of you guys might be wondering what this thing is This is an acrylic storage container I got from Muji, it’s this thing behind me Can you guys see it? It’s in the form of drawers, you see? I bought the 5 layered one It’s very very good I think it’s perfect for storing individual shadows like these, the height of the shadows are a perfect fit, and you can store many in a drawer It’s also good for storing lippie stix, you can store quite a lot of them in a layer I think I have 2 or 3 of these drawers? They’re quite good If you are looking for these, you can get them at Muji Yup, so it’s bye bye for real this time! Apply base layer Next, apply it above lash line, on the crease and blend Next, apply on bottom lash line Next, highlight the middle of the eyelid Next, brighten up the inner corners
